Who is This?
George Walker Bush was sworn into office as the 43rd President of the United States on January 20, 2001, with a minority of the popular vote, after a contested election debacle which was reviewed up through the Supreme Court. A detailed timeline of events notes that on December 13, 2000, the President-elect pledged in his acceptance speech "to deliver reconciliation and unity to a divided nation." The pledge was not fulfilled. In fact, what occurred was very much the opposite of what was pledged. He gained a second term in November 2004 by what evidence indicates to be another manipulated and flawed election process.
